Trafic and economical eficiency

Based on Origin-Destination matrix determined after traffic survey, part of the studied project, the correct estimation of the traffic is done calculated on the basis of the data processed for the road system.
Within the feasibility study, through traffic studies, information is given regarding traffic evolution in time and the opportunity of financial resource allocation for the investment.
Traffic surveys and traffic measurements give a wide view upon traffic flood which overweight both studied roads and those adjacent. Designing decisions are made based on these values. One can opt for designing by-passes for areas that are intensely transited by the long distance traffic or designing new road when the old routes reached levels that over passed the levels of service they were designed for.

Traffic studies show the real situation at a certain time in a certain area and provide data for increasing traffic prognosis, the evolution of the traffic, the cross road within this area and also efficiency solutions. Moreover, they offer solutions for environmental protection and pollution.

 Traffic analysis for specific issues: national, district and local roads modernizations, urban parkways, cross roads, traffic squares.
 Traffic studies for new straightway roads, subsystems of urban parkways, multi-modal public systems (road., cab, tram, minibus)
 Determining and monitoring the Urban Congestion pointers
 Analysis regarding recreational and weekend traffic
 Waterway traffic simulation
 Studies regarding recreational pedestrian routes
For designing the multi-modal and inter-modal traffic models, the department possesses the following:

 One VISUM license from PTV AG, D2 dimension (maximum 400 areas)
 One VISSIM license from PTV AG, D2 dimension (maximum 400 areas)
Design in financial and economic analysis
 Economic analysis (evaluation of the complex impact of the infrastructure projects) for substantiation of the investment projects
 Financial analysis
 Multi-criteria analysis for selecting the investment options according to HG28 (general cost estimate for investment projects and intervention ones)
 Risk analysis at regional and local level
 Financial analysis
 Financial analysis for substantiation of the founding solutions conducted under Public-Private Partnership (PPP)

For the technical-economic analysis, the department possesses the following:

 One HDM4, vs 2.08 license from HDM GLOBAL

Design in geographic data base GIS and the administration of infrastructure assets
 Design and exploitation of traffic and infrastructure geographic data base (GIS-T), roads draw up as a geographic informational system
 Administration (management) of roads assets
The department is designing for regional administrator (district councils), local administrator (local councils) and private administration instruments of roads assets. The projects consist of:
• The evaluation of the technical state of the road and bridge assets
• The design of the maintenance programs and the optimization of the associated cost budgets
 Land usage GIS draft (access analysis)
Through designing a local decision instrument is conducted (based on spatial and geographic data), which fundaments processes as:

• decisions regarding the development of a certain category land which benefits or not from public or private road access for different purposes
• decisions to place or relocate a firm
• decisions to place or relocate a residential area or a group of housing
• decisions concerning labor market (assuring labor force through facilitating down-and-up trains) for the employers
• economic links between firms that produce services and goods flow among themselves
The department is conducting geographical data base by using exclussive software with public license (Open Source)
